Garage Door Services in Halecrest, Costa Mesa

Halecrest is a Costa Mesa tract centered on Killybrooke Lane off Bear Street in the north-central part of the city, ZIP 92626, framed by Baker Street, Fairview Road, Harbor Boulevard and the 405. It was annexed into Costa Mesa in 1955 and developed in the mid-1950s, and its streets carry Irish place names: Belfast, Fernheath, Donnybrook, Killybrooke, Donegal and Conway. Halecrest Park at 3107 Killybrooke Lane is a private swim and tennis club, with Killybrooke Elementary next door. The terrain is flat inland tract housing.

Halecrest has no homeowners association. Halecrest Park is an amenity club, not a governing body, so there is no architectural review and no association approval to wait for. A garage door change goes to the City of Costa Mesa only, and Costa Mesa's list of permit-exempt work does not include garage doors, so check with the Building Division. Homes of this age often have small original openings, early panel profiles that are no longer made, and openings widened by later owners, which is where mismatched panels and springs sized for a previous door come from. One-piece tilt-up doors survive on some homes of this era, and swapping one for a sectional door is a design change rather than a straight replacement.

Any original opener still in service predates the 1993 federal entrapment protection requirement and has no photo eyes, so it is replaced rather than repaired. Fire service here is Costa Mesa Fire and Rescue, a city department. Urgent Garage Doors answers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with a 30 to 60 minute response, carries common springs on the truck, and gives a written price before work begins. Residential openers installed since July 1 2019 must have battery backup under SB 969. We work under California license CSLB #1055150, classification C-61/D-28. Call (949) 529-7743.
