Garage Door Services in Serrano Highlands, Lake Forest

Serrano Highlands is Planned Community 4 in the City of Lake Forest, ZIP 92630. It covers 189.6 acres of former Rancho Canada de los Alisos land, approved by Orange County in January 1987 before Lake Forest incorporated, with streets including Peachwood, Tamarisk and Palmwood off Bake Parkway. The Pinnacle at Serrano Highlands added 85 single-family lots at Peachwood and Tamarisk. It is a hillside development on rising ground, a generation younger than the older Serrano Park tracts nearby.

That age means photo eyes are present, and the work is springs, rollers, hinges and opener replacement rather than full door replacement; springs are commonly rated around 10,000 cycles. On rising ground, driveways slope and settlement over the decades pulls track out of line, so a door binds at one point rather than failing outright, and where a driveway falls toward the opening, the bottom seal keeps winter rain out. The eucalyptus forest the city is named for, between Ridge Route Drive, Jeronimo Road, Lake Forest Drive and Serrano Road, drops bark and leaves that collect in bottom tracks and film photo-eye lenses, so a door that reverses with nothing in the way often just needs cleaning.

Serrano Highlands tracts are association-governed, so get architectural approval before ordering a new door; Lake Forest also states that association approval is needed before work starts, separately from any city permit. Homes near Lake Forest Drive see road grit in tracks. Salt corrosion is mild this far inland. Urgent Garage Doors answers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with a 30 to 60 minute response, carries common springs on the truck, and gives a written price before work begins. Residential openers installed since July 1 2019 must have battery backup under SB 969. We work under California license CSLB #1055150, classification C-61/D-28. Call (949) 529-7743.
