University Park was Irvine's first village, begun in 1965 shortly after plans for UC Irvine were announced, and five years older than the city itself. It covers 595 acres in ZIP 92612, bounded by University Drive, Culver Drive and the 405, laid out on garden city lines with continuous greenbelts passing between homes. The village mixes detached homes, townhomes and condominiums, and many homes front a pedestrian greenbelt while the garage sits on the opposite side, so the address you give may not be the side a truck can reach.

This is Irvine's oldest housing, so it carries the oldest doors and openers.
