Garage Door Services in Woodbridge, Irvine

Woodbridge opened in 1975 as an Irvine Company village of about four square miles between Culver Drive and Jeffrey Road, with Irvine Center Drive to the north and the 405 to the south. It is split into North Lake and South Lake halves around two lakes, and the Yale Loop circles the interior, so residents describe a location as inside or outside the loop. Its 41 tracts of detached homes, townhomes and condominiums were built mostly in the late 1970s and 1980s, with The Branches added in 2013. The architecture is New England Cape Cod, unique in Irvine, so a garage door sits against painted wood trim and siding and color matching is paint to wood.

The Woodbridge Village Association, at 31 Creek Road since 1976, requires approval before nearly all exterior improvements, and garage doors are reviewed. The Home Improvement Application carries a $50 fee, review runs 2 to 4 weeks, and the approval letter expires 6 months after it is issued, so the install has to happen inside that window. Treatments that draw attention to the door are prohibited, and the Gables tracts have their own high-contrast color rule. Townhome and condo owners also answer to a sub-association, so they should start both approvals at once. Applications go to architectural@wva.org or the owner portal.

Doors and openers from the 1975 to 1985 phases predate the 1993 federal entrapment protection requirement, so many original openers have no photo eyes. Homes nearest the lakes sit in the most humid pocket of the village, where corrosion on springs, cables and rollers is more of a factor than in inland tracts. Woodbridge carries no Mello-Roos and is not among the villages named in the city's 2025 fire hazard zone expansion. Urgent Garage Doors answers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with a 30 to 60 minute response, carries common springs on the truck, and gives a written price before work begins. Residential openers installed since July 1 2019 must have battery backup under SB 969. We work under California license CSLB #1055150, classification C-61/D-28. Call (949) 529-7743.
