Northwood fills the block enclosed by the 5, Culver Drive, Portola Parkway and Jeffrey Road in ZIP 92620, around the Northwood Loop, whose segments are named Northwood, Southwood, Eastwood and Westwood and are crossed by Yale and Bryan Avenues. It is the one Irvine village not developed by the Irvine Company: the land passed to many owners, and a single developer organized them, so multiple builders worked here and construction varies tract to tract.
